Feeling Resistance?

Yay it's Friday!  We've just completed another Week 1 of Adventure Boot Camp and I'm feeling so excited to impact another amazing group of ladies!  And now we are impacting Men in the Bay Area also with our Co-Ed locations.  I have such a highly qualified group of personal trainers that I trust through and through.  Our passion is helping you reach your fitness goals.  We love helping you get from where you are to where you want to be.  This program is truly for every age and every fitness level.

I'm continually learning.  I love to read and learn new things.  It seems most things I read I can somehow relate to the Health & Fitness lifestyle.  I'm reading a fantastic book right now call the The War Of Art by Steven Pressfield. It is a fantastic look into a struggle we all face: Resistance. Resistance is the part of us that doesn't want to do what we know we need to do. Here's an excerpt:

Resistance is Internal:

Resistance seems to come from outside ourselves. We locate it in spouses, jobs, bosses, kids. "Peripheral opponents," as Pat Rilye used to say when he coached the Los Angeles Lakers.

Resistance is not a peripheral opponent. Resistance arises from within. It is self-generated and self-perpetuated. Resistance is the enemy within.

And on page 40: Are you paralyzed with fear? That's a good sign. Fear is good. Like self-doubt, fear is an indicator. Fear tells us what we have to do. Remember our rule of thumb: The more scared we are of a work or calling, the more sure we can be that we have to do it

Love that!  Time to stop saying we want to live a healthier life and start LIVING it!  There's no secret to how to do this.  The only "secret" is:  Eat right and exercise!  And to clarify it even better, eat REAL food and start making exercise a "way of life", not just something you'll try for a few workouts.  You can do this!  It's the new you!

Yours in the journey to Health & Fitness,

WOW that is so on target! When you want to do something you will find a way to get it done. Working out is the same way. I keep trying new things so I can get a work out in whenever and wherever I can. As long as it's once a day!
